Leader of Opposition in Parliament Asks for More Funding for Agriculture

The Leader of the Opposition, Winfred Kiiza who is in trouble with FDC top leadership

Drama is still going on as FDC re-organises their house.

Last Friday, FDC in a NEC meeting which sat to strategise on the party’s direction with the major losses suffered in the concluded Municipality and Local Council elections, with the worst being in Bugiri Municipality where a disjointed team of FDC officials supported JEEMA’s Asuman Basalirwa who won the seat.

Now, leader of opposition in Parliament Winnie Kiiza who was reportedly dropped in favour of Betty Aol Achan has come out to say she is still the LoP since she has not received any official communication from FDC party top brass about the changes.

Kizza had travelled to the US for official parliamentary duties when the meeting that had her dropped was held.

In a message to her supporters this morning, Kizza said she is still in office executing her duties.

We reproduce her message below;

Dear friends, fans and supporters. I have been away in the United States of America on  official duty. I have had and read in our dailies about the changes in the Forum for Democratic Change.

As a person who believe in institutions, am yet to be officially told about the said changes. At the moment we are still in office until such a time when we receive official communication.

I thank you for the continued support. Together we shall salvage our country.

Thank you and God bless you.

For God And My Country.
