UCC’s Pamela Ankunda Lobbying for NITA-Uganda Job

Pamela Ankunda

Very few government agency jobs are lucrative enough to attract contenders.

However, with Uganda’s ICT strategy championed by the Information Technology Authority, far sighted civil servants want in on the cake. Among the “thirsty” ones is Pamela Ankunda.

Pamela who is currently Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) publicist is reportedly planning to quit her job for greener pastures.

She is looking to join the National Information and Technology Authority (NITA)- Uganda, an autonomous government parastatal under the ministry of ICT and National Guidance.

NITA is mandated to coordinate, promote and monitor Information and Technology developments in Uganda within the context of National Social and Economic development.

Our source at Bugolobi based UCC revealed that Pamela has secretly been lobbying to take up the job at NITA- Uganda.

On why she is quitting UCC, this website couldn’t establish, but assuming new roles seems to be Pamela’s working style since she has changed more than three offices in not less than 5 years.

She worked at Media Centre until 2013 before she left in acrimony and joined Internal Affairs Ministry as the publicist.

Pamela is praised for being a hands-on publicist who has overseen UCC’s communications agenda stay updated and recently introduced a weekly UCC news update that captures the commission’s works.
