Mubarak Kalungi, the legal officer at the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretariat reportedly quit over incessant fights in top party leadership.
Sources have intimated to the TrumpetNews that Kalungi who has been serving at the Secretariat since 2015 threw in the towel late last year after NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba and NRM Electoral Commission chairperson Dr Tanga Odoi failed to cease fire.
Kalungi who operated mainly from Tanga Odoi’s Plot 13 was in-charge of overseeing the party primaries electoral process since 2015 where he was receiving nominations forms and scrutinizing academic documents among other duties.
It has emerged that Kalungi like many other staff became frustrated by the working methods of Tanga and Lumumba who were more often in office fights, rescinding each other’s decisions at the expense of the staff.
It is on this ground that Kalungi reportedly quit.
Kalungi is now legal, human resource management consultant. He graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Business, Corporate and Administrative Law from at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).
