In a generous display of leadership and care for his fallen soldier, President Museveni this afternoon said he will continue to support the family of the Late Colonel Ibrahim Abiriga who was laid to rest in Arua.

The President while delivering his speech at the funeral rites of the Late Abiriga who was killed last Friday evening in Kawanda together with his brother Said Kongo said he would not let the two families suffer under his watch with the death of their bread winner.

“I understand Abiriga was supporting his extended family as well. With his death, I pledge that we will continue to support you. I have instructed my office to set up a family SACCO for the family and I am pledging 50 million which should be utilized by the family members to generate income and go around” The President pledged.

The President who had earlier pledged support for Abiriga and his fallen brother’s kids and widows said NRM doesn’t dissent from their fallen soldiers families even in their death.
