The Officer in Charge (OC) of Kyebando police post was Thursday morning killed on duty after he was hit by a speeding car on Kira Road.
The officer has been identified as ASP Francis Kato was patrolling the area and at a time of his death was returning to his duty beat in Kyebando.
The driver of the unidentified vehicle is still at large.
His body has been taken to Mulago Hosipital for post-mortem as investigations are ongoing.
