As a spate of crime rocks the country, citizens upcountry have not been spared, the latest being a Centenary Bank Employee in Rukungiri.
Sam Mugisha who was in his early 40s and worked as a loans officer at Centenary Bank, Rukungiri Branch, was killed by unknown thugs as he returned home last Sunday.
According to a relative, the unknown killers intercepted Mugumya’s car, pulled him out and stabbed him multiple times before dumping his body in a nearby swamp.
All his possessions were left untouched. His car, phone and money were left in the car prompting the family to question the motive behind his murder.
The deceased was laid to rest at his native home in Bisheshe Sub-county, Ibanda District.
The relatives said police has already launched investigations into his gruesome murder.
With the motive of the murder unknown, speculation is rife on what could have cost the loans officer his life.
