Mirundi: Archbishop Lwanga Loathes Museveni

Tamale Mirundi is dead

Senior Presidential Advisor on Media Affairs Tamale Mirundi has openly accused Kampala Archdiocese, Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga of disliking President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his leadership.

Lwanga, on Sunday evening met Museveni at the President’s home, State House Nakasero, and the two were embroiled in what was described as ‘fruitful talks.’

The details of this Sunday meeting until today remain scanty but earlier the cleric had expressed dissatisfaction condemning security organs or feeding the President with wrong intelligence information.

He also revealed that his life was in danger as unknown people were trailing him and the people he stays with in Rubaga division Kampala.

Lwanga had earlier said that the wrong information was implicating him in subversion.

He also narrated how an unidentified persons plotted to harm him on Easter Sunday as he left home to lead the mass at Rubaga Cathedral.

Mirundi, on Tuesday responded to Lwanga’s claims saying the Man of God has for long planned to overthrow this government.

Mirundi raised a strong assertion claiming to have ever been at Lwanga’s home, when he learnt he (Lwanga) hates Museveni.

Mirundi to prove his point told the moderator at NBS that if Lwanga was innocent, fellow religious leaders would have added a voicein solidarity.

“Where Archbishop Ntagali or where is the one who heads the orthodox? Do you know why they are quiet?”

Mirundi said they chose silence to avoid being ensnared in Lwanga’s wars with the State.

Lwanga told a congregation that he received information that he doesn’t cease ‘poking’ his nose in the affairs of the State he will be assassinated like Bishop Janan Luwumu who was killed by the past regime of Iddi Amini for being critical of his leadership.
