NRM’s Nankabirwa Survives Plane Mishap in Kabale

Government Chief Whip Hon Ruth Nankabirwa has Friday evening survived death when a plane she was travelling in crashed in Kabale District, South Western Uganda.

Nankabirwa had been invited to preside over Women’s Day celebrations in the district.

When contacted by this website Nankabirwa explained that the helicopter hit electric wires at Golf Course and lost control.

“I am safe, but the plane got damaged,” said Nankabirwa who added that she was accompanied by five other women leaders from Kiboga District.

She said the pilot managed to control the plane and it safely landed at Golf Course.

She confirmed no occupants were injured.

“No one is wounded. We are here waiting for another plane to take us to Kampala,” she said.

She clarified that Hon David Bahati was not in the helicopter as earlier reported.
