The head of Constitutional Court, Deputy Chief justice Aliphonse Owiny Dollo announced that all cases challenging the age limit law will be heard in Mbale district.
The hearing is slated for March 9, 2018.
Petitioners in this matter asked to seek timely information on the names of the judges that will be on the panel, so that in case they have issues with any one of them, they are able to raise a timely objection before heading to Mbale.
Justice Owiny Dollo thus listed names of the judges on the panel which include include himself, Justices Remmy Kasule, Elizabeth Musoke, Kenneth Kakuru and Cheborion Barishaki and Justice Elizabeth Musoke.
Against that background concerned citizen identifying himself as Male H Mabirizi on Wednesday wrote a letter contesting the presence of Justice Elizabeth Musoke’s on the panel saying she is an interested party.
Addressing the letter to this Lady Justice, Mabirizi accuses her of siring a kid with Deputy Attorney Mwesigwa Rukutana and siring two with Hillary Onek, minister for general duties in the office of the Prime Minister.
“I am the petitioner in the Constitutional petition No. 49 of 2017-which has been consolidated with four others and coming up for hearing on 9th April 2018 at Mbale- Male H. Mabirizzi K. Kiwanuka V. The Attorney General of Uganda,’’ Mabirizzi writes.
Adding, “If you sire a child with the deputy Attorney General, you can’t preside over the case for the constitutional amendment appeal,” he said. “It is conflict and you will be sitting in your own case.”
