Former Uganda Police Force Boss General Kale Kayihura this morning apologised to the public and other individuals over “stepping on their toes”
Kayihura made the consoling remarks as he handed over office to the incoming Police Boss Martin Okoth Ochola.
During Kayihura’s reign as IGP, Besigye was repeatedly arrested for his various activities including walk to work protests.
The IGP said his work was to strengthen the security of the country and provide protection to the public and had no personal motives against anybody.
“If there is any body I stepped on Please, I am sorry. I didn’t intend to but it was for the good of the country,” Gen Kayihura apologised.
