Sacked IGP, Gen Kale Kayihura, is among the top affluent UPDF senior officers, information obtained by this website reveals the amount of wealth which he has acquired over the years.
Whereas Kayihura resides in a rented house in posh Kampala suburb, Muyenga, he has a couple commercial buildings, housing estate in some suburbs and also owns farms in central and western region.
According to a relative close to the former Police Chief, he has a housing estate in Muwama Zone, Kiira Division in Wakiso District which sits on 2 acres of land with over 100 units.
The estate currently can be valued at approximately shs 8 billion.
He also has two commercial buildings in Kisasi town a few kilometres from the city centre. One of the buildings is still under construction whereas the other has been occupied by tenants.
These two mega structures face each other.
Information further indicates that the bush war hero erected another mega building in Kiwatule.
It has been existing for over 5 years and it’s fully occupied by tenants who run a couple of businesses.
A family insider adds that Kayihura has a vast farm in Mubende with over 20000 goats, making one of the leading exporters of goat meat.
