MP Anywar Praises Kayihura for Defeating Walk to Work

Anywar

Kitgum Woman MP Beatrice Anywar praised sacked IGP Kale Kayihura, hailing the man perceived by the opposition protagonists as a ‘repression tool’ in their unaccountable attempts to ‘overthrow’ the regime.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who sacked Kayihura after two developed an edgy relation, had many times lauded him for suppressing opposition particularly his long time political nemesis Kizza Besigye whom he describes as a ‘criminal.’

Besigye in 2011 after losing an election hatched an uprising, The Walk toWork, protesting skyrocketing prices of sugar and fuel.

Besigye and his followers blamed the high cost of living on  the obscene election expenditure by President Museveni.

The protests would soon be crashed by police and sanity restored.

Kayihura, The Hero

Anywar, a victim of police brutality, on Tuesday gave an interview about Kayihura that was sweeping, emotional and wildly received with a simple message; the hero who combated terrorism, a hero who restored order and sanity within the force, a hero who fought crime in Northern Uganda and above all defeated walk to work riots that had started scaring away investors.

She confessed that numerous opposition radicals deliberately engage police in violent battles aiming at exposing its excessive force used to contain the situation to political funders.

Despite all that, Kayihura has tried to do his best to ensure the Ugandans are protected as per the institution’s mandate, Anywar said.

She further applauded the Kayihura’s efforts to fight terrorism from nooks of the country and the arrest of Jamilu Mukulu, the supreme leader of ADF a rebel outfit affiliated to Al Shabaab.

Against that backdrop, the former FDC legislator- cum- NRM sympathiser wants Parliament to have a special sitting to reward Gen Kale Kayihura for his outstanding performance while at the helm of the Police Establishment.
