Looming Government Reshuffle Stirs Anxiety Among Museveni’s Loyalists

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is planning to sack 22 Government officials, this website has exclusively learnt.

According to a source in State House, the President will anytime drop the startling announcement same way he did on Sunday as he relieved two historicals of their duties.

The long serving Police Chief and perceived cadre Gen Kale Kayihura was dropped and replaced by his deputy Okoth Ochola .

Kayihura’s archrival Gen Henry Tumukunde didn’t survive the axe as Security Minister, Gen Elly Tumwine has since been appointed to assume the office.

“We are very much anticipating another reshuffle in different government organs; in security, cabinet and many more,” a source said Monday.

Another security official who also talked to this website but preferred to remain anonymous said the President using his intelligence has been evaluating 22 officials and have since been found wanting.

“It is true 22 people will be dropped from government,” he said without divulging details.

The reshuffle is part of the wider plans to streamline the political and security management in the country.

According, the news has left many high-ranking officials unsettled.

The President’s Spokesperson Don Wanyama couldn’t confirm this development when asked on phone.

It must be remembered that Wanyama was the first to post his Boss’ statement announcing the new appointments on Sunday.
