Ugandan Ex Minister Tim Lwanga appointed EAC Deputy SG

Tim Lwanga

In unprecedented shift of events, the newly appointed East African Community (EAC) deputy Secretary General (SG) Hon Tim Lwanga has been dropped.

TrumpetNews has learnt that Lwanga was selected from a closed door meeting of Heads of States at Munyonyo, in Kampala on Friday.

Reports from Munyonyo further indicate the deputy secretary general position has been scrapped off along other two, which we are yet to identify.

“When the ministers left the closed session, Lwanga had been appointed, when the Presidents stayed alone they overturned the appointment and erased three positions,” a journalist attending the Summit told this website.

In his appointment, the former Ethics Minister would replace Jessica Eriyo who has been at EAC for about six years.
