3rd Foreigner Dies In Ugandan Hotel In 2 Weeks

An American citizen has become the third foreigner to die mysteriously in a local Hotel in Uganda, in the past two weeks.

According to reports, the deceased identified as Monteni Gay Watson, 61, hailed from Texas, U.S and was found dead in Hotel at Bwana Tembo Safari Lodge in Obira Parish, Got Apwoyo sub-county, Nwoya district.

Uganda Police confirmed the death in statement issued by the publicist Emilian Kayima.

“Watson’s body was brought to GRRHS mortuary but later transferred to main 4th division barracks mortuary.”

But police was planning to take the body to Mulago National Referral Hospital’s mortuary for post-mortem.

Watson’s death comes high on heels of investigations of two Europeans; Tuomas Juha Petteri Terasvuori (Finland) and Axel Sebastian Andreas (Sweden) who were recently found dead in Sheraton and Pearl of Africa Hotels.

The cause of their death remains a subject of investigation.

Police confirmed Monday, their bodies had been sent back to their respective countries.
