President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has warned high ranking security officials that they will be thrown in jail.
Museveni said the squabbles within the security apparatus are between individuals which turns to be a big problem, but expressed optimism that it will be “sorted.”
“Security organs are supposed to serve the interests of Ugandans, not any individual. It’s going to be sorted out,” said the Commander in Chief.
Speaking from Luweero District, the President added: “The infighting is between individuals, but not the security organs. It’s a big [problem] which will be sorted out. You have seen that some of them have gone to Luzira and many of them will see themselves in prison if they don’t reform. It’s going to be resolved.”
However, he never pointed names of those involved in wrangles, but it is no public secret that the ‘bad blood’ is between Police Chief Gen Kale Kayihura and Security Minister Gen Henry Tumukunde.
