Abduallah Kitatta, the leader of Boda Boda 2010, a criminal cartel has been referred to the Court Martial by the Unit Disciplinary Court of the army convened Friday at the Army Headquarters in Mbuya, Kampala.
Kitatta, an ally of Police Chief Gen Kale Kayihura and other 12 suspects are charged with unlawful possession of military weapons and failure to protect war material.
Unit Disciplinary Court of the army was presided over by the Col. Tom Kabuye.
The army publicist Lt Col Deo Akiiki in a statement sent to TrumpetNews said: “so from today onwards all those cases that were labelled against the group that was arrested will be heard by the general court martial.”
Adding that the army tribunal took the decision because it, “does not have that jurisdiction.”
The court session was attended by the family members and the lawyers of the group, who were led by Paul Kiggundu.
Kitatta, his brother Huzair Kiwalabye and several others are linked to the gruesome murder of Case Clinic accountant Francis Ekalungar.
