Case Clinic boss speaks out on accountant’s murder; Driver must pay for his sins

Case Clinic owner Dr Kato Ssebaale has quashed reports that he is subjected to investigations following death of his accountant Francis Ekalungar.

The development comes against a backdrop of an operation made by Military Intelligence in which several suspects were netted including Ssebaale’s driver Muzamil Mawa last week.

It would later be revealed by the media that security has therefore barred Ssebaale from travelling to the UK due to the on going murder probe of Ekalungar.

However Police Spokesman Emilian Kayima dismissed these reports as false.

Ssebaale has since issued a statement regarding the arrest of his driver saying he should face the full wrath of the law should it turn out to be true that he participated in the murder of his fellow staff.

“Muzamir Mawa has been a driver allocated to me by the hospital as an organization and likewise our relationship has been merely professional nothing more and now that he has been implicated in anyway in this investigation and if it turns out to be true, I and the entire team at Case Hospital agree that he should face the law,” said Ssebaale.

Below is the unedited statement sent to TrumpetNews

It is disheartening to have heard that my driver Muzamir Mawa has been implicated in the death of our dear colleague Mr. Francis Ekalungar, whose family and everybody at the Hospital is aware has been very dear to me.

Francis Ekalungar 49, passed away tragically and unexpectedly at the hands of merciless and brutal people and it should suffice to say that I have worked tirelessly in support of all concerned security agencies to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators of this abhorred act, to book.

Muzamir Mawa has been a driver allocated to me by the hospital as an organization and likewise our relationship has been merely professional nothing more and now that he has been implicated in anyway in this investigation and if it turns out to be true, I and the entire team at Case Hospital agree that he should face the law.

Finally, my attention has been drawn to some news items that I have been barred from travelling abroad due to the ongoing investigations.

I would like to state categorically that there has not been such instructions brought to my attention and therefore must be treated as unsubstantiated, false and fabricated news intended to damage my reputation.

I will be going about my business as usual, nonetheless, as any law abiding citizen, be informed that I have been and I am more than willing to continue supporting the investigation process until its logical conclusion.

Francis had a very long history at Case Hospital. He can be deemed as an inaugural member of the hospital’s pioneer team, served as a Finance accountant for a very long time. To his family, who have lost a husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle you name it, our prayers and thoughts are with you. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
