Uganda Police has Monday come out to clarify that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of case clinic Dr. Ssebaale Kato has not been blocked from travelling to London as earlier stated by the media
Reports which did rounds suggested that Ssebaale who was due to travel to the UK last week had been stopped by security following an operation in which several suspects linked to the murder of Francis Ekalungar a Case Clinic accountant who was brutally murdered earlier this month and his body charred beyond recorgnition were arrested.
The development comes after the arrest of Ssebaale’s driver Mawa Muzamiru as a part of a wider investigation into Ekalungar’ death.
“Correction: Dr. Ssebaale Kato, the proprietor of Case Hospital has not been stopped from traveling abroad as earlier stated. Please correct this before you go on air,” Emilian Kayima, Police spokesperson told this website on Monday afternoon.
The military has since commenced an in-depth investigation into the incident, leading to the arrest of several members of the Boda Boda 2010 militia who have confessed to the murder including the ‘cartel’s’ leader Abdullah Kitata and his brother Huzair Kiwalabye.
