A fuel tanker trailer has burst into flames on Masaka Road after it reportedly knocked a Fuso truck registration number UAY 373W carrying charcoal on Wednesday night.
The fatal accident occurred at Kavule-Katende towards Mpigi district on Kampala-Masaka highway.
No deaths had been reported by the time of filing this report.
Police confirmed the accident by posting on its Twitter page: “Alert:A fuel tank is on fire in Kavule. Our Fire department is on the way to the scene. While you may be curious always remember fuel tanks carry flammable fluids & are likely to explode when in contact with fire, we therefore request you to stay away from the accident scene.”
