Brian Kirumira, a pompous city businessman has been released by Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court on Monday morning.
Kirumira alias Brian White along with Thomas Okoth, a police officer working with Crime Intelligence Unit were asked to deposit shs 10 million each before Court.
They applied for bail through their lawyer John Bulombo after they were remanded to Luzira prison on attempted murder charges.
Brian White last year shot and injured his neighbour Victor Bitwire in Buziga an upscale suburb of Kampala.
Makindye Chief Magistrate Erias Kakooza in his ruling on Monday told Brian White to deposit his passport as one of bail conditions.
“You should not leave the country until the case is disposed off,” the Magistrate ordered.
The accused were told to pay cash bond of shs 10m while the sureties paid shs 20 million (non cash bond).
Brain White and his co-accused will re-appear in Court on January 31 when the hearing begins.
