The Parliamentary legal department then prepared the paper work for Museveni to sign the bill into law or reject.

The Director of Communications at the Parliament of Uganda Chris Obore confirmed to this news website that Museveni signed the bill on December 27th 2017.

“Yes. He has signed it. He signed on 27th  December, so it’s no longer a bill but a constitutional ammendment act,” Obore confirmed.

Asked where he signed it from, Obore said, “What matters is that he has signed not where he signed it. Okay. He signed it in Uganda not anywhere else.”
