Socialite Brian Kirumira alias Brian White has been transferred from Kabalagala Police Station to Nalufenya detention centre in Eastern Uganda.
According to an insider in police, the ‘pompous tycoon’ was taken to highly dreaded security facility last Saturday.
He faces attempted murder charges after he shot and injured Victor Bitwire a resident of Bunga, high-end suburb of Kampala.
Bitwire was rushed to IHK hospital where he is still receiving treatment while in Coma.
Last week Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda visited the victim in hospital and directed police to deepen investigations and establish why Brian White shot Bitwire.
Whereas reports earlier indicated that Brian White shot an intruder, it later emerged that he first harrased Bitwire who was in company of friend before firing two bullets.
Reports also suggest that Brian White had obtained the gun illegally from police officers who were also arrested last week.
