The latest in that string of shadowy tycoons is Bryan White Kirumira.
The lanky light skinned fellow stormed Kampala’s party scene some months back and has since then been a constant at most happening Kampala events splashing dime.
Gun trouble
Bryan White was this morning arrested for shooting and injuring an alleged burglar who tried to gain access to his residence in the leafy suburb of Buziga.
The injured burglar has been identified as Victor Bitwire who was shot in the shoulder and taken to IHK hospital for medical attention, at 2am Wednesday morning.
Bryan White whose security shot Bitwire, was arrested and charged with attempted murder this afternoon and was by press time still held at Kabalagala Police Station.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear and police is said to be investigating the motive for the shooting and also the source of the gun that was used, according to the Police Public Relations Department.
Not new to controversy
Bryan White whose source of wealth has been a subject of speculation for months is not new to controversy.
Last month, the mysterious tycoon was summoned to police to explain circumstances under which pictures of him on an early morning jog, guarded by a string of body guards armed with sub machines guns which are a preserve of elite forces leaked.
The socialite has also been linked to high profile citizens in the army and police who reportedly provided protection for him.
