A body of a man only identified as Zziwa was Wednesday found inside a manilla box dumped in a drain in Namwongo a surburb of Kampala.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) deputy spokesman Lucas Oweyesigyire, the deceased was discovered by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) workers near Total Petrol Station head offices.
“After KCCA cleaners identified a suspicious object which was identified as a box on realising blood was coming out of it they called police who opened it and found a body that was packed inside with all limbs shattered,” he told TrumpetNews.
Oweyesigyire said police suspects that the murder was comitted from another location, “but we are trying look through the security cameras around that place to see whether we can know who might have dropped off the box.”
The body has been taken to mulago for postmortem.
