President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has Tuesday met his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame at the 2nd inauguration of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The two East African leaders sat next to each others and were seen having a lengthy conversation.
As always the two political leaders might have discussed collaboration on issues of mutual interest like peace, security and how to boost business interests for the two landlocked countries.
This ends speculation that the two countries’ diplomatic ties were icy.
Uganda and Rwanda have had good political relations until lately when a local newspaper claimed that Museveni was plotting to overthrow Kagame.
The Red Pepper quotes a Rwandan online publication Rushyashya.
Five owners of Red Pepper and three editors have since been arrested and were Monday charged in court and remanded to Luzira prison until December 5.
The government of Uganda through Ministry of Foreign Affairs would dismiss Red Pepper’s claims insisting the two countries’ relations are solid.
