Entebbe Aviation Police boss Mwesigwa is dead

Uganda Police Force is reeling in shock after learning of sudden demise of Entebbe Aviation Police commandant SSP Caleb Mwesigye.

He passed away on Tuesday morning at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala where he has been hospitalized for over three weeks.

According to police publicist AIGP Asan Kasingye, Mwesigye has been in  the intensive care unit and is suspected to have succumbed to Pneumonia.

His deputy Polly Namaye said Mwesigye died of natural causes. She described him as, “very cooperative colleague whom I trained with during our initial course at Kabalye.”

Mwesigye joined the force in 2007.
