Age Limit: MP Bobi Wine outs new anti-Museveni song, demands freedom

Kyadondo East lawmaker Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi has released a new hit dubbed ‘freedom’ demanding for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s peaceful handle over of power.

Know as Bobi Wine, he made a name as a singer who grew up from a ghetto and therefore fights for equality and justice of a common man.

Since his inception into office in July, he has become a force to reckon with in the political arena as he together with other opposition legislators advocate for ‘Togikwatako”.

Togikwatako is a luganda word coined by opposition leaders meaning ‘don’t touch’ as they oppose scrapping of the age cap (75 years).

The opposition and other democracy seeking organisation are rallying up masses to thwart attempts by the ruling party to review the constitution and amend article 102 (b) to lift age limit. They vowed to use any avenues in this cause.

Freedom

In the video of freedom song , Bobi Wine donned red attire and a red ribbon- a signal of an awareness campaign “Togikwatako.”

He sings while behind bar depicting political persecution imposed on opposition leaders by government.

He goes a head to rally people who are also clad in red and red ribbons.

He demands for freedom and justice and also retirement of Museveni from office because the thirty years are enough for serving the nation and therefore a new generation should be allowed to take over leadership.

Political events in which several State opponents have been harassed, mishandled and brutally arrested are shown in this video.

The video also captures corpses of victims of Kasese clashes between security and Obusinga bwa Rwenzururu subjects.

He warns against constitutional amendment predicting it could spark an uprising in the country.
