Muntu says Museveni’s plans to divide FDC are dubious

Muntu

The Forum for Democratic Change presidential aspirant, Gen Mugisha Muntu dolefully told president Museveni and his allies that their destructive plans won’t fail opposition party’s end goal.

In his statement written about police’s brutal operations and interference with FDC’s presidential elections, “we see what you are trying to do and you will not succeed in sowing seeds of division amongst pro-change forces in the country,” Gen. Muntu reacted to Museveni.

Muntu’s statement

This has come amidst Gen. Muntu’s failed effort by the police to rescue Dr. Kizza Besigye, Hon. Ingrid Turinawe, Hon. Amuriat and councilor Innocent Tashobya out of Nagalama Police custody.

However, the FDC president, Gen. Mugisha Muntu vowed that he is not yet about to retreat not untill his detained colleagues are set free.

In his assurance, “I have visited them at Naggalama police station and will continue working  with other party leaders to pressure government to release them along with all other people that have been detained,” Muntu wrote.

To him the police action was illegal for it was informed about their (FDC leaders) rally.

In his statement, “The police followed up these clearly illegal actions by arresting Hon. Amuriat, Dr. Besigye, Ms. Ingrid Turinawe and coucilor Innocent Tashobya,” Gen Muntu noted.

Unfortunately this whole situation forced him to postponed his current campaign programme in a solidarity attitude for his fellow FDC party leaders who were arrested since last Thursday during the Rukungiri rally.
