Thugs protesting age limit removal steal Gen Katumba’s 200 hens

Police in Mukono is hunting for the yet to be unidentified people who raided and robbed a farm belonging to Gen. Katumba Wamala.

The farm which is found in Nabutti village in Mukono municipality was attacked over the weekend.

The robbers managed to take off with over 200 chickens during the night after they managed to negotiate their way into the farm.

According to Joseph Byenkya a security guard on the farm, they found the chicken house empty in the morning.

Byenkya explains that a one, John Sebuufu who feeds who is charged with feeding the chicken landed on the empty chicken house as he went about his duties of getting the chicken feeds.

It is indicated that the thugs cut wire mesh surrounding the farm through which they managed to sneak in and steal the chickens.

Police visited the scene of crime and brought along sniffer dogs to help trail and track the direction of the thieving goons.

The sniffer dogs reportedly trailed the direction of the thieves to a point that is believed to be where their get-aways car in which they carried the chickens was.

The attack on General Katumba Wamala’s farm comes at a time when the General is in the limelight for having punched and sent into coma Mityana MP Zaake during last week’s age limit amendment tussles that happened at Parliament.
