Court summons MP Abiriga for urinating in public

Buganda Road Court Magistrate has issued criminal summons to Arua Municipality legislator Ibrahim Abiriga for committing a nuisance by easing in public.

On Tuesday Abiriga confessed before cameras that he was badly off and had no where to go except to urinate on premises of Finance Ministry on an evening of the previous day.

Criminal summons

“You are hereby commanded by the government of Uganda to appear in this Court on 6th October 2017 or soon thereafter the case can be heard,” Court wrote on Wednesday.

Court added that Abiriga contravened article 7 and 27 of the Local Government (Kampala City Council) maintenance of law and order ordinance of 2006.

“Your attendance is necessary to answer to that charge.”

A picture of Abiriga urinating on a perimeter wall of Finance Ministry has since gone on internet.

Whereas the public expected Abiriga to be apologetic for mortifying a person of his calibre, he expressed no regrets.

Abiriga is one of the ruling party lawmakers that vehemently support the removal of age limit law.
