The opposition members of parliament have Thursday heckled and interrupted Prime Minister Hon Ruhakana Rugunda as a way of defying and protesting his ‘ridiculous’ revelations.
Rugunda was making his submission on what transpired earlier in the day after security surrounded the arm of government (legislature), all MPs restricted from accessing the house in their vehicles including deputy speaker Hon Jacob Oulanyah who was barred from using the main entrance.
Oulanyah was so infuriated by the manner in which he has handled.
The Leader of Opposition (LoP) Hon Winnie Kizza asked the speaker to adjourn the house to enable MPs reflect on the events that happened earlier in the day.
The Prime Minister while he took to the podium he acknowledged that the presence of heavily armed security operatives engulfing parliament was to ensure the state of security was under control.
The chaotic moments compelled the speaker to adjourn parliament to Tuesday next week.
