Pentecostal pastors have lately become a subject of debate among the public. This particularly was ignited by an investigative story aired by a local Television titled “Inside the dark world of manipulative and deceitful pastors.”

The story exposed dirty channels these pastors indulge into to extort, solicit and steal money from their believers.

Renowned city based pastors have reached an extent of advertising their services in a number of media houses especially broadcast to woo crowds.

Some have reached a point of establishing own televisions to air live deliverances and healing services in church to be able to attract more followers.

What has been more shocking however is the lavish style these pastors live at the expense of their ‘flock’.

They drive posh cars, own multimillion properties and run a chain of businesses across the country.

More shocking these pastors have set monetary standards for their worshippers to be able to receive blessings.

Lately, Pastor Samuel Kakande of Synagogue Ministries has been in news about his disappearances.

Reports suggested that he has been admitted in a mental hospital in Butabiika, Kampala but he appeared on TV to refuse the allegations.

But the ‘Man of God’s whereabouts remain a subject of contention.

TrumpetNews understands that the Synagogue church has lost worshippers to neigbouring competitors who include pastor Augustine Yiga, Aloysious Bugingo, Jackson Senyonga and one ‘prophet’ Ronnie.

According to insiders who asked to speak on anonymity for fear of reprimand said that Kakande had lost majority of his followers after he failed on deliverance.

“People were praying but there was no healing,” said an insider.

Adding that Kakande and his henchmen kept soliciting money from the worshippers to perform miracles but there were no results.

“This prompted them to seek blessing elsewhere.”

Another worshipper who also wished not to be mentioned raised concerns how they were duped in rice business.

Apart from the popular shs 50000 per kilo of rice, reports indicate that Kakande suggested to his followers that he would awards them gardens of rice at a certain amount of money.

“People sold land in their villages to book the gardens of rice which in turn wouldn’t yield to their expectations.”

This follower yelled; “we lost a lot of money.”

Kakande is accused of grabbing land along Masaka road in Lwera where he now owns over 200 acres.

Pastor Kakande’s silence remains a topic with the public eagerly waiting for his comeback.
