UPDF one star General Octavious Buturo has succeeded Maj Gen James Mugira as Luwero Industries General Manager.

Brigadier Octavious Buturo has today 30 August 2017 taken over as General Manager Luwero Industries.
He has replaced Maj General James Mugira .
The handover/take over function was presided over by the Minister of State for Defence _ General Duties Hon Col (rtd) Charles Angola Okello. Addressing himself to the members of staff, he commended Maj Gen Mugira for successfully revamping Luwero Industries when he was appointed in January 2012.
It was chosen as one of the centres of excellence for the EAC Defence Industries.Hon Okello implored the new General Manager to strive anď raise the bar higher by ensuring that the production and quality of products are sustained and diversified.
The Commander Airforce Maj Gen Charles Lutaaya representing the UPDF congratulated Brig Buturo upon this appointment and urged him to improve on the skills of the personnel in order to achieve better results.
The ceremony which involved a tour of the industrial complex,was attended among others by the Air Defence Comdr Maj Gen Gervase Mugyenyi and Brig Geoffrey Katsigazi the Land Forces Chief of Staff.
