Remus Manifred, 70, was shot and killed on Tuesday in Buikwe, a remote district in Eastern Uganda.
Police spokesman Asan Kasingye told media, it is suspected the killers wanted to steal the property of this businessman at his home in Bwoweri, Njeru town.
The assailants were armed with a pistol gained access to the house and demanded money from him, which he didn’t have.
“They shot him took his phones and escaped to an unknown direction,” Kasingye revealed in a statement.
“He was rushed to Jinja Main Hospital for treatment where he unfortunately died.”
