The man suspected of killing his girlfriend has finally spoken out on why he carried out the gruesome act.
Okoth, who is currently in detention at Kira road police station says he got into a bitter quarrel with his girlfriend Natoolo over a late night phone call.
According to Okoth, Natoolo received a lengthy phone call in the wee hours of the night and this sent him into a feat of jealousy.
On completing the call, Okoth says he asked Natoolo who she had been talking to but the deceased girlfriend retorted in a rude manner that it was none of his business.
This, he said is the argument that sparked off a huge fight in which Okoth ended up stabbing Natoolo and brutally ending her life, before fleeing the house.
The suspect was apprehended last week by vigilantes in Najjera together with his host before being transferred to police cells.
Investigations are being carried out and the suspect will then be arraigned in court.
