Newly elected Kyadondo East Member of Parliament (MP) Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine over the weekend met with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s brother as the two attended a music concert at Cricket Oval Lugogo, Kampala.
Bobi Wine, on Thursday defeated his opponents with a remarkable triumph after garnering a record 78 percent of the votes.
His popularity has since shaken the ruling party NRM bigwigs who wonder how a musician who has never held an elective post before has become a legislator in the 10th Parliament.
Bobi Wine, who lately a force to reckon with made a grand entry at Cricket Oval to show solidarity to his fellow artiste Joseph Mayanja alias Chameleon on his show The Legend.
The show came to a standstill as crowds cheered up the newly elected and probably one of the youngest legislators in the House.
We was welcomed by a couple of people among those was Shedrack Nzeire, Museveni’s step-brother.
Nzeire is the party chairman for Kirihura district and also a businessman.
He is currently involved in youth mobilisation at State House although his docket is not very clear. He contested for the Nyabushozi seat in 2001 parliamentary elections and lost narrowly to Mary Mugyenyi.
Whereas the two held a one on one talks, Bobi Wine’s stance has not changed. He remains critical of the regime.
