Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) Managing Director (MD) Winston Agaba has been suspended by the board following the Minister’s orders.
Minister of Information and National Guidance Hon Frank Tumwebaze who oversees the national broadcaster directed the board to take action on Winston on Thursday evening.
Tumwebaze on Tuesday tasked Winston to show cause as to why he should not be shown exit.
UBC has lately been embroiled in a crisis after several of its managers were suspended for theft having masterminded a fraud where over 100 ghost workers were involved on payroll.
Whereas Tumwebaze admits that UBC had unbelievably a huge number of workers, Winston vehemently dismissed the Minister’s claims.
