M7 meets Ethiopian Prime Minister ahead of IGAD summit

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has held bilateral talks with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn immediately when he arrived in Addis Ababa on Monday afternoon.

Museveni will then attendthe 31st Extraordinary Summit of IGAD Heads of State which tends to focus on the situation in South Sudan, mainly how to resolve the political issues and humanitarian crisis.

Hailemariam is the current Chairman of IGAD, an 8-member economic bloc that brings together Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, Eritrea, South Sudan, Kenya and Uganda.
