A casket containing Carol Atuhairwe’s remains has on Monday afternoon arrived at Entebbe Airport.
Carol lost battle to deadly throat cancer on Thursday evening in India where she was flown last May for medical treatment.
Ugandans raised millions of cash through the popular campaign dubbed SaveCarol to have her operated on.
However, little was known regarding her health during her time in India.
Vigil will be held at Masanafu, off the northern bypass in Kampala.
There will be a church service tomorrow June 6th at 10am, at All Saints Church Nakasero.
Thereafter, the body will be taken to her ancestral home, in Ibanda District, Ishongororo, Kabaare Village where it shall be laid to rest on Wednesday.
“We wish to heartily thank everyone for standing with us and fighting with Carol till her last breath. May God reward you abundantly,” her relatives said.
