Ivan Ssemwanga was the leader of the famous Rich Gang. True to their ‘moniker’, the rich gang buried their fallen boss with pomp of the wealthy.
Ivan’s grave was this afternoon littered with what the rich use when showing off.
Litres of champagne, wine and bundles of cash were thrown dumped into the grave in remembrance of the good life the fallen tycoon used to display while alive.
Hordes of poor Kayunga residents who had come to see off their villagemate were left in shock, awe, admiration and envy at seeing how much money and drink was literally put to ‘waste’
Ivan’s burial will definitely go down in history books as one of the flashiest send off judging by the magnitude of rich people in attendance, the posh cars and the show of wealth.
Even in his grave, the fallen socialite Ivan Ssemwanga will be remembered as a bigger spender.
Because of hard biting economy, there is high speculation that locals could dig the grave to retrieve this money.
Ssemwanga succumbed to a stroke while in South Africa. He was then operated on to remove the blood clots before he breathed his last on Thursday.
But close relatives reveal that stroke was caused by depression.
Ssemwanga had from the last two years been suffering silently from the walk out of his loved wife Zari who left him for Tanzanian artiste Diamond Platinumz. It is alleged that this hurt Ivan to very deplorable and life threatening levels.The businessman was a son of George SsemwangaPinto Lutaaya and Liize Ssemwanga, both deceased.
His mother was daughter of Hajji Hamis Mukasa.
Ssemwanga grew up in Nakaliro, Kayunga TownCouncil, in Kayunga district before relocating to
Kampala at his grandfather’s place in Mengo, Kalitunsi.
He attended Bishop Brown Primary school beforejoining Kanjuki S.S. for senior one. He however movedto Central Academy, where he studied for his ‘O’ and‘A’ levels in the 90’s.
Ssemwanga was aged 40 years at the time of his death, and leaves behind 3 sons with ex socialite, Zari Hassan.
Ssemwanga’s death leaves his family in a hail of confusion over what will happen to his property in Kampala and Pretoria, the kids since he had no other wife besides estranged ex wife Zari who now lives with his new man Diamond Platinumz.
