The Electoral Commission (EC) has made adjustment of dates for the electoral programme for by-election of Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency Wakiso District.
According to a statement from EC head Justice Simon Byabakama Mugyenyi seen by this website, the commission experienced a technical problem, which has resulted in the delay to finalise printing of the National Voters’ Register for Display for purposes of the ongoing electoral programme for by-election of Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency, Wakiso District.
“Electoral Commission has found it necessary and taken a decision to revise and adjust the dates for some activities under the ongoing electoral programme for by-election of Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East Constituency, Wakiso District,” the statement reads.
Display of Voter’s Register at Polling Stations in Kyadondo East will commence on31st May to 12th June and display of Parish tribunal recommendations for deletion from or inclusion on the voters’ register at the parish headquarters will start on June 13 to 19th.
Campaigns will follow beginning 2nd to 27th June.
Polling date is 29th June 2017.
“Other activities remain on the dates that were published earlier,” Byabakama said.
