Zari Hassan, has on Monday told mourners at Namirembe Cathedral that she will have committed a grave mistake leaving her children with Late Ivan Ssemwanga’s relatives.
Sobbing in pain, Zari an ex- wife to Ssemwanga said that her mother raised her single-handedly and taught her how to be strong in such a time when the father of her kids is no more.
Zari, in a low voice wondered how she would live to hear that her children are somewhere wandering.
“I have cried since he was hospitalized. I am now strong,” Zari said.
“My mother raised me single headedly and taught me to be strong. I will do the right thing for him and the boys.”
The elegant looking lady separated with Ssemwanga after disagreements and now is married to a Tanzanian musician Diamon Platnumz and the couple have two children.
it remains unclear whether Zari will take the children to their step father.
Earlier, one of the Ssemwanga’s uncles Herbert Luyinda was quoted in the media lambasting Zari that he will inherit from wealth the deceased left.
Luyinda however, used the funeral service ceremony to retract the statements and apologized.
“I apologise for any mistakes that I made. Let us stay together,” he said.
Ivan Ssemwanga who died of stroke in South Africa last week will be laid to rest on Tuesday in Kayunga.
