Police has transferred former Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) spy Akiramu Sekajja from Kira road police station to Central Police Station (CP).
Sekaja has been in detention for over two months following his arrest from Kyazanga as he went for fallen AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s burial in Lwengo district.
This website broke the story on Tuesday with a picture showing Sekajja being incarcerated at Kira road police in Bukoto, Kampala after he was tortured in Nalufenya, a highly feared security facility in Eastern Uganda.
Sekajja told TrumpetNews that he was arrested together with unidentified woman he gave a lift in Masaka as he went to bury.
In Nalufenya, Sekajja said that he was subjected to torture and only promised to be released if he confessed that security minister Gen Henry Tumukunde sent him to assassinate Kaweesi which he vehemently denied.
Kira road DPC Michael Kasigire , according to source received orders from police head offices in Naguru to transfer Sekajja with immediate effect.
He was transferred to Wednesday evening.
When contacted Kasigire said that he has no authority over such suspects who are brought into custody by his superiors.
Kasigire said that he follows orders from his bosses.
