Besigye arrested in western Uganda

Opposition icon Colonel Kizza Besigye has on Monday afternoon been arrested in Kikagati town near Isingiro district in Western Uganda where he has been sensitizing the masses on his popular campaign My Land My Life.

However, police personnel intercepted Besigye at Kikagati-Isingiro border forcefully arrested him before whisking him away to unknown destination.

Besigye was accompanied by his radical loyalists, Ingrid Turinawe, Francis Mwijukye and several others.

Over the weekend Besigye visited quite a number of places in Western Uganda and was hosted on Radio Talkshows where he elaborated more about his new campaign.
