Ugandan gay Activist Kasha Nabagesera arrested In Kigali

Renown Female gay activist Kashi  Nabagesera has been arrested at Kanombe Airport in Kagali over what police termed gross misconduct and drunkenness.

Kashi Known as the ‘founding mother’ of the Ugandan LGBT civil rights movement at just the age of 19yrs in 1999, is said to have left the Entebbe for Kigali only to be arrested.

It is reported that she had travelled to Rwanda to meet are known film maker  Morgan Freeman

Rwandan Police spokesperson Theo Badege confirmed that they had her and asked us to check the police twitter handle for more info before he hanged up.

Checking the police twitter handle it was confirming that they had her and appropriate action is to be taken

“Jackline N. Kasha is temporarily held at the Airport over drunkenness and gross misconduct. Appropriate actions will be taken on her case.” Read the police tweet.

Kasha being A martin Ennal Award winner her arrest has caused outrage among human rights organizations including the Martin Annal the Swedish version of noble peace awards organizers to tweet saying they are looking into a stress full report about the arrest of one Kasha Jaqueline Nabagesera   in Kigali.
