NBS TV live talk show dubbed ‘one on one with Tamale Mirundi’ hosted every Tuesday morning descended into violence when presidential advisor on media affairs attacked the host Simon Muyanga Lutaya.
Tamale Mirundi is always hosted to analyse the current political affairs in the country, and the debate descended into chaos when Lutaya pressed him on his leaked land titles he acquired from Buganda Kingdom, a cultural institution he discredits.
Mirundi has had a harsh stance on Mengo which he refers to as ‘weak’ and full of mediocrity insisting that he has no respect for the kingdom and its king.
But last week, the public was shocked to learn that Mirundi is among the beneficiaries of Buganda.
Appearing on the show on Tuesday morning, Mirundi turned violent when the issue was raised by the journalist.
Muyanga appeared powerless to stop the rowdy ex presidential spokesman.
As the fight intensified, the station management first halted the show.
Mirundi went native and used vulgar language to hurl insults at Muyanga and threatened to pluck his eyes off.
Later, the two made up and the show resumed.
Mirundi has been all over the media discouraging people not to get these leasehold land certificates of title. Mirundi got land title of the land in Bunamwaya.
