Sports pundit Andrew Kabuura has resigned as field presenter for Dstv’s Supersport channel and will soon join Kwese TV formerly WBS based in Naguru, a Kampala suburb.
TrumpetNews understands that, Kabuura threw in the towel after he was approached by Kwese management promising to offer him a better deal as the station’s sports analyst.
“He resigned a few months ago from Supersport,” Kabuura’s close pal told this website.
When we talked to Kabuura, he confirmed without divulging details, “Yes I did resign.”
But a source at Dstv who asked to remain unnamed told us that Kabuura pre-empted sacking after Supersport discovered his replacement in usher Komugisha who proved to be an all rounder sports field presenter.
“That girl can manage to analyse as well as commentate football, tennis, golf, rugby etc. Unlike Kabuura who is good at only soccer,” a source said.

Currently Kabuura works at Bugolobi based Radio City FM as sports presenter. It remains unclear whether he will quit radio.
Kwese is owned by a Zimbabwean tycoon Strive Masiwa last year acquired WBS TV from Godfrey Wavamuno and also leased the premises for 50 years.
Kwese is a sports TV station.
Herbert Odankie is the new Managing Director and he is on a recruitment spree having poached Ben Mwine as head of programmes from KFM.
