A dossier detailing Mukono Municipality legislator Betty Nambooze’s conspiracies to fight her own party Democratic Party (DP) from way back during Paul Kawanga Semogerere regime has leaked.
The two page missive obtained by TrumpetNews indicates how Nambooze came to join DP in 2004 while working as an enforcement officer at Mukono district.
“Ssebaana Kizito then a DP president general welcomed her and recommended her for a rehabilitation programme, he also gave her money and a laptop which she asked for to write a book about her life and the government of Uganda,” the dossier reads in part.
“DP also forgave her for all the harassments she subjected DP to in 1996 when she mobilised her fellow LDUs to beat up ow’ekitibwa Paul Kawanga Semogerere at DP presidential gathering in Mukono town. Semogerere was our flagbearer in 1996.”
It adds that In 2011, together with other frivolous members of DP she founded “Suubi lya Buganda” a modern KY and she didn’t support DP president NorbertMao.
In the previous presidential election, Nambooze first threw her weight behind Goforward candidate Amama Mbabazi but later crossed to Col Kizza Besigye.
“Besigye has facilitated her to hold a mobilization meeting at Nsambya Sharing Hall,” the letter says.
“When Besigye went to Mukono she opportunistically forced herself into his band wagon. She decampaigned Brenda Nabukenya in Luwero claiming that, NRM’s Nalwanga was more pro Buganda. She decampaigned Eddie Yawe in favour of the FDC candidate Ssemujju. She only pays lip service to the values and principles of the party. In her present crusade she’s nothing but a mercenary, a hired gun with the sole aim to weaken and eventually kill DP.”
The dossier has been circulating on a platform “DP Think Tank” and was penned by a group of party lawyers dubbed Catholic Lawyers to save DP.
Nambooze a self styled leader of a warring faction Bad DP has vowed to host all party delegates from Buganda region at Nsambya Sharing Hall in Kampala come March 31.
This website understands that 5 dstricts; Masaka, Sembabule, luwero, Bukomansimbi and Mpigi are plotting to boycott the meeting.
The conference aims at overthrowing Mao from DP presidency.
