Kaweesi shooting: First witnesses go missing

Minutes after the shooting; body of Kaweesi lying in pool of blood

Reports reaching TrumpetNews desk indicate that a vigilante who recorded a video of the 10 minute shooting that ended police spokesman Andrew Kaweesi’ s life has disappeared.

After, the gruesome incident that claimed lives of three officers; Kaweesi, his body guard Kenneth Erau and driver Godfrey Mambewa, police obtained a video filmed by unknown resident of Kulambiro which showed how assassins executed their mission.

“The man filmed the video from a window in the neighbourhood,” our source in police revealed to this Website.

However, the details of this resident have since been scanty and there are fears that he could have mysteriously disappeared.

It still remains unclear whether this resident who has since become a witness is under police protection so as he can be used to expedite investigations.

TrumpetNews couldn’t establish more details of this man whether he has a family or a known job.

We have also learnt that that immediately after the shooting some media houses began live broadcast of the events and also interviewed a number of dwellers to ascertain whether anyone couldn’t identify the killers since they boldly never covered their faces.

And a young kid appeared on TV saying he saw a killer who walked to Kaweesi’s car and shot him in the head.

“The man was a bit short muscular and brown,” the young boy said.

However, the boy has also disappeared from limelight. As to whether he is also under witness protection, it remains unconfirmed.

Efforts to get a comment from Police were by press time unsuccessful as known publicists couldn’t respond to our repeated calls and messages.

Kaweesi will be laid to rest today at 2:00pm at his ancestral home in Lwengo district.

His juniors were buried yesterday.
